What are water filtration systems?
Types of water filtration systems:
Activated carbon filter
Activated carbon filters filter out the larger particulates, leaving your water clean and sweet-smelling.
Reverse osmosis has a pre-filter, then presses water through a semi-permeable membrane, which traps contaminants, leaving only clean water. Then it is run through a final filter.
An alkaline water ionizer uses electrolysis (heat and light) and softens water in the process.
a UV filter is a chemical free water filtration system which uses UV rays to kill bacteria and pathogens. It’s a newer technology but highly effective.
An infrared filter negatively charges the water with heat and light, similar to an alkaline filter.
Most systems use a combination of these types of filtration systems to achieve maximum results.
